2. This website

When you visit this site or download a file, the web server stores technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested file, browser identifier) in log files to ensure operation and security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are deleted after a short time. A cookie named “sprache” remembers the language you chose (one year); without your choice the site follows your browser language. There is no tracking and no third-party services – the fonts are hosted on this server too.

3. The software: no data comes to me

Diktat consists of the app, the Diktat server and the text receiver. You run all three yourself. The app sends recordings only to the server address you enter; the server sends the text only to the PCs entered in its configuration or by email via the mailbox you configure. I do not operate a server for Diktat and receive no recordings, texts or usage data. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics.

4. Permissions

• Microphone: only while you record. The recording is stored in the app until your server has confirmed it, then deleted on the phone.
• Network: to send recordings to your server and to test the connection.
• Notifications and background: a notification shows that a recording is running; after a restart the app sends recordings that are still waiting.

5. Responsibility when you run the server

Whoever operates the Diktat server for others (e.g. in a company) is responsible for that processing. Recordings and texts stay on that server only as long as needed for transcription and delivery, unless keep_audio is switched on. Emails are subject to the terms of the mail provider used.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Since the software sends no data to me, I store no personal data about you beyond the web server logs and any emails you send me.
