What the app does
- Voice input in every field
- “Twelve fifty dollars” becomes 12.50 USD, “info at company dot com” an email address. The built-in speech recognition runs entirely on the phone – without Google and without a connection, in English, German and other languages.
- Business cards with text recognition
- Cards are read on the device – Chinese cards with characters too, including the WeChat ID. Mobile numbers come first, fax is skipped, the country is derived from the dialling code if necessary.
- Supplier first, products below
- Company, country, hall and booth, contact, address, note and a rating of up to three stars – with all products of that booth.
- Prices in any currency
- Price, currency, unit, delivery terms (FOB, EXW, CIF …), tier prices by quantity, MOQ and quantity per container. Exchange rates per fair convert everything to euros for comparison.
- Labels, barcodes and QR codes
- Photograph a price tag: item number, price, MOQ and EAN are suggested. Contact QR codes fill in the supplier.
- Voice notes, visit list, hall plan
- Record voice notes, plan whom to visit – company, hall, booth, also from an Excel exhibitor list – and tick them off at the fair; capturing data at a booth ticks it automatically. Mark booths on a photographed hall plan.
- Report, backup and team
- PDF with pictures, Excel list, ZIP with all original photos, short text summary. Colleagues exchange packages and the app merges them without duplicates. Follow-up and comparison are done afterwards in FairCompass PC.
- Mark up photos
- Arrow, circle or text right on the photo – for example the detail that matters for the sample.
- English and German
- The app follows your phone's language, or the one you choose under ⚙ → “Sprache / Language”.

Record on your phone at the fair, carry on at your desk afterwards. The Windows program comes free with the app.

How to install
- Open this page on your phone and tap Download the app.
- Open the file messekompass.apk from the notification or the “Downloads” folder.
- The first time, Android asks whether the browser may install apps from unknown sources. Allow it, go back, tap Install.
- If Google Play Protect warns about an unknown app: Install anyway.
- Open the app and allow the camera when you take the first photo.
Before the fair: download the speech model for the built-in voice input once over Wi-Fi: in the app ⚙ → “Speech recognition” → “Accurate (recommended)”, about 180 MB. Voice input then works offline and without Google.
Updates install over the existing version. Your fairs and photos are kept.
