How to install the app

1. On your phone, tap Download above.
2. Open the file barcode-scanner.apk (from the notification or the “Downloads” folder).
3. The first time, Android asks whether your browser may install unknown apps → allow it, go back, tap Install.
4. If Google Play Protect warns about an unknown app: Install anyway.
5. Open the app and allow camera access. It needs no other permissions.

Updates are installed the same way, over the old version. To see whether there is a new one, tap Info → Check for updates in the app.

The app shows English or German depending on your phone's language. You can change it under Info → Language.
